This was a gift for my moms birthday, at first i was bummed that although it said 12 cups it was an 8-cup. But if you read the manual you will see that the 12 cup is for the one witout stainless steal cup, but rather a glass one. Either ways i love it its a great deal and its easy to use.

What can I say it's makes good coffee and the stainless carafe keeps coffee worm and freash for about an hour or so.

I bought this as I am the only one that drinks coffee in my family and I did not want the big 10-12 cup maker. I gave this a 4 star as the one thing that is annoying is that the paper filter tends to fold over and you end up with grounds in the pot. I use a perminent filter as well as the paper one so it is not too bad for me as the grounds just go into the permanent filter. This was not listed in the reviews that I read or I might not have gotten this coffe maker other than that it is a good coffer maker.
