User Opinions

Great coffeemaker - a couple of drawbacks
C. K. Brown

First, let me say this is a perfect size for my desk at work. My requirements - a non-glass carafe, cone filter, and a cup and a refill for my mug. The drawbacks do not effect the brew. The first is the length of the cord. Unless it is going to be on a counter next to an outlet, you will need an extension cord. The second drawback is the maker does not turn off automatically - I know I am going to forget to turn it off one day.

Nice little coffee maker

I've had this coffee maker for about a month and so far I'm pretty happy with it. Looks-wise it's not going to impress your friends, but it's solidly constructed and well-designed, and brews a good cup of coffee.-The stainless steel carafe holds 25 oz. (five 5-oz. cups) and is the first carafe I've used in a long time that doesn't drip and make a huge mess. If you accidentally push the lid too far back it pops off (as opposed to snapping off), and easily goes back into place. The cup markers are pressed into the metal so it's easy to fill.-The swing-out basket uses #2 cone paper filters (not compatible with permanent filters) and is removable for easy cleaning.-The area with the sprayer head is completely sealed, so there's no steam spewing out the top during brewing - a plus if you need to put it under cabinets.-The pause n' serve feature works well, but the entire brewing cycle only takes about 5 minutes for a full pot so I haven't really needed to use it.-While the hot plate keeps the coffee reasonably hot, if you like your coffee scalding you'll probably have to microwave it.-As mentioned in the previous review, the cord is only about 2 feet in length, and it doesn't have automatic shutoff (which is a plus for me, but may be a minus for you).Overall I'm glad I picked this coffee maker over similar models. The only question right now is how long it's going to last [knocks on wood].
