Of course, if you put the dripper on a very narrow thermos you should make sure it is stable. Cleaning: Cleaning the Clever Coffee Dripper is ver easy. Just dispose of the used grounds and filter and rinse. Do not allow residue to build up in the filter. Lightly scrub the cone with very hot water and a sponge or brush, taking care to clean shut off mechanism lightly from the top. If necessary, use a detergent-free cleaner designed for carafes and filtercones.

I own three of these drippers and bought one for my kid. I use it for one large mug of coffee--I like coffee that tastes strong but not bitter. I use one half cup of freshly ground coffee per mug--ground fine but not powdery in the paper filter you put in the dripper. Pour water just off the boil over grounds-put on the lid and let steep a minute or so--stir and let drip into mug. Like French Press without the mess.
