So with out asking my wife replaced my beloved 18 year old Krupps with this B&D unit. It looks good. The coffee is OK, but I think the wedge filter makers (#4) make better coffee. Other than taste the biggest problem I have is that it drips all the time when you pull out the pot. The shutoff feature is terrible. Due to this the non-stick service has come off and the pot sticks to the burner. We use a $17 Mr. Coffee at work...4 pots a day....5 days a week, and it not only makes better coffee (still not as good as my old Krupps) but it doesn't drip when you pull the pot out.

Purchased in Jan of 2013 and it worked great the first week. Since then (two months) it has gone downhill. It shuts itself off when it feels like it. Imagine going to pour your morning cup and taking that first sip of delicious cold coffee! Once the loud buzzer goes off to tell you it's ready, you have appx. 5 minutes to drink it before it shuts itself off and turns cold. I wanted auto shut off but this is ridiculous! The other major complaint is the clock/timer is not illuminated and therefore impossible to read. Keep a flashlight and magnifying glass close by. I am calling them to complain. I would not purchase this again.
