Ok, the Krups KM611850 may not be perfect, but it is really good! As I see it there are two issues that are relatively minor, more like an inconvenience. These are offset by the fact that this unit makes the BEST cup of coffee that I have had at home in many years. The first issue is that the carafe has a slight lip on the inside where the glass & plastic lid come together, which does not lend itself to total drainage. The other issue is that the unit's lid may block total accessability to the spot where you need to fill the water tank on the right side with the crafe. This is easily remedied by pouring from the left side. Neither one of these points are a big issues. In fact some reviews made it sound like this unit was a dog due to these minute problems, when in fact both of which have easy fixes. My unit or carafe does not leak or dribble when I pour. The best part is that the coffee this unit makes is far SUPERIOR to anything I have had at home for a long while and its little eccentricities are easy to get along with.

I read some reviews on this machine and a couple talked about spilling. I don't get it!!! I never have problems with that either during filling the machine (which if you have a problem just use a big glass and use the water gauge) or my cup. This machine makes the best coffee of any drip machine i've ever owned hands down!!

We have used Krups coffee makers for many years. When our last one finally gave out I never gave a thought to changing brands. I waded through the different models and selected the KM611850. It works great and we are very happy with it.
